PEARL DREAMS

The pearl represents a predisposition of wholeness, a hidden treasure for those meant to find it. It is an illuminating symbol of the precious and lustrous incorruptible aspect of the feminine that is created out of and within the darkness of our living corruptible flesh. The abrasive grain of sand is rubbed until layers of luminous material are built up and over the irritating foreign material. To Alchemists, because of its mysterious origin inside the shell of an oyster, it was considered another version of the Philosopher’s Stone.
